Much obliged, sir! In terms of range, Nissan says to expect 138 miles on the high end and 47 miles in a worst-case scenario.

Nissan hasn't allowed many extended drives by the press yet, but one journalist was allowed such an opportunity and managed 116 miles out in the real world: http://www.plugincars.com/nissan-leaf-116-mile-range.html

I've driven those same roads in Tennessee before and can tell you that he was driving in favorable conditions with mild temperatures, light traffic, and moderate speeds. His 116-mile range seems very plausible to me.

Matt, yet another superb post. I can't wait to see this thing hit the streets.

Do you know how the 100-mile range figure stands up in real-life driving?
